Ingredients
- 1/2 cup flour
- 5 Tbsp. cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 4 egg whites
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 Tbsp. skim milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 Tbsp. instant coffee
- 1 Tbsp. hot water
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 300º F
- Mix cocoa, flour and baking powder in a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until frothy.
- Add cream of tartara nd continue to beat.
- Slowly add sugar, one tablespoon at a time.
- Add milk, vanilla extract, several drops at a time.
- Dissolve instant coffee in the hot water and slowly add to egg whites while beating.
- Continue beating until mixture is glossy and forms peaks.
- Fold into flour mixture.
- Pour into an 8×8 inch nonstick baking pan. Bake for 35 minutes.
